Future Global Sports is pleased to announce that Sam Mvemba has appointed us to represent him on an exclusive basis.
Mvemba is an exciting young defender with real potential. At 19, the left-back has already made more than 110 appearances in senior men’s football for Romford FC and Aveley FC, playing regular first team football week in week out since the age of 17.
This season he has been a key member of an Aveley team that has broken records, becoming the first side in the club’s history to reach the FA Trophy quarter finals, a feat which earned them a trip to play Notts County.
Mvemba was at Birmingham City’s academy as a youngster. He joined Barking Abbey in 2016, where a string of consistently impressive performances saw him win Manager’s Player of the Season in 2016/17 at just 16 years of age.
Sam represented Essex County FA at Under-18 level where he was part of a team that won national honours, winning the Under 18s Inter-County Trophy Final in 2017 beating Durham FA at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena stadium.
With Sam in the side, Essex U18s won the South East Counties league beating London, Kent and Middlesex FAs’ U18s. He was then called up by English Schools’ FA to represent the South East.
Mvemba moved to Romford in 2017, making 40 appearances for the club and helping them avoid relegation, before joining Aveley FC in 2018/19. At Aveley the teenager has been the club’s first-choice left-back for approaching two seasons now, making 73 appearances to establish himself as one of the most promising and experienced young defenders at that level.
“He is a player with massive untapped potential, it’s hard to believe he has already played 100 games at this level and he’s still only 19 years old,” said his then-manager Danny Dafter.
At FGS we believe Sam is one of the most exciting young talents in non-league football and has the ability, athleticism, experience and potential to become the next FGS client to move into professional football.
He is a very modern, athletic left-back who crosses the ball well and has the pace and engine to get up and down the pitch. All the tools are there for him to develop, and with good coaching and hard work he could become a real prospect.
We are excited to be working with Sam as he looks to take his game to the next level.
Future is Mvemba!
